We have been really busy the last month or so. We moved to Provo on Thanksgiving weekend. Thanks to all the family who came to help us! I have some cool pictures to post of Shawn's birthday, Thanksgiving, the St. George landscape and our Christmas Tree. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of everyone at Thanksgiving.
P.S. When I get pictures hung, I will post some pictures of our beautiful condo.

Six Adventurous Years
Yesterday was our sixth wedding anniversary. We both can't believe that it has been six years! It seems like just yesterday we were starting our life together. To celebrate, my wonderful hubby got us a room at the Anniversary Inn. The room came with rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake and sparkling cider. Poor Shawn was sick with a cold so we used the time to get a little R & R. We went to a movie, ate at The Cheesecake Factory and bought each other some anniversary gifts. It was a great weekend!
I thought it would be a neat idea to post some pics from our six years together. Enjoy!

Long time, No post
Sorry I haven't posted anything for two months. Life has been, we'll to say the least, interesting. However, the events that have occurred aren't fit for public knowledge. Anyway, on Saturday, Shawn and I went to Star Wars in Concert. It was amazing!! The symphony orchestra and choir were pure perfection!! I was sitting in the audience wishing that I was up there singing the classic choral Star Wars tunes. I took a few videos and will post one for your enjoyment. If you have a chance to go, you must!!!!! This was one of the most amazing moments of my life! I'm sure glad I made us get expensive seats, they were worth every penny!
On another note, until today I had been making or shall I say, asking my husband to grow out his beautiful hair. He has thick wavy hair and I was thinking along the lines of McDreamy. He he. H was kind enough to grow it out for me and I was enjoying his thick waviness, until I started surfing through some past pics of him with short hair. All of a sudden I wanted to cut his hair!! 10:30 PM is great timing, right? I have posted a pic. What a handsome guy!!
The handsome man after his haircut!
Myself with the aforementioned hair (Can you tell it's 11 PM? I look tired!)

Keith Urban
Wow!! Keith Urban is one heck of a performer! Last Saturday my Mom and I saw him in Las Vegas. Thanks Mom! I am still in a euphoric state because we had floor tickets and I was about ten feet away from him (for about 15 mins)! He reached out to let the girls touch him and I nearly dove. . . . until I saw the look of dread on his face from the ambush. I had to fight the urge but I felt bad for the poor guy, being mauled like that and all.
If you enjoy country music and have the chance to go--GO! I actually think I might get tickets for his SLC concert in September. Check out the amazing pics!

Farewell Farrah and Michael.
What a sad day. The world lost an "Angel" and a "King." Farrah's beauty, both body and spirit and Michael's amazing talent as a singer and dancer will be sorely missed. May you be both be at peace.
Farrah Fawcett, the blonde-maned actress whose best-selling poster and "Charlie's Angels" stardom made her one of the most famous faces in the world, died Thursday. She was 62. Farrah Fawcett rose to fame in the 1970s, thanks to a best-selling poster and the hit show "Charlie Angels." Fawcett's death was confirmed by Paul Bloch, one of her representatives at Rogers and Cowan, an entertainment public relations firm. Fawcett, who checked into a hospital in early April, had been battling anal cancer on and off for three years.
Michael Jackson, the show-stopping singer whose best-selling albums -- including "Off the Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" -- and electrifying stage presence made him one of the most popular artists of all time, died Thursday, CNN has confirmed. Michael Jackson, shown in 2008, was one of the biggest pop stars in history. He was 50. He collapsed at his residence in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles, California, about noon Pacific time, suffering cardiac arrest, according to brother Randy Jackson. He died at UCLA Medical Center.

Excuse Me????
What's this? AT&T screwing over Adam Lambert? Argh. I know that when I texted in about 15 votes on my phone (I have AT&T) that I wasn't sure if my votes were counted. It took about 18 hours to get a reply back from AT&T saying that they had received my votes. Smell something fishy?
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Some fans of "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert think their favorite singer may have been robbed of the "Idol" crown by Arkansas employees of AT&T, a major sponsor of the talent competition.
Kris Allen, left, defeated Adam Lambert, right, in the "American Idol" finale.
Kris Allen, left, defeated Adam Lambert, right, in the "American Idol" finale.
Since the final count is a secret, there is no way to know if text-message votes cast at two AT&T-sponsored parties in "Idol" winner Kris Allen's home state of Arkansas made a difference in the outcome.
Lambert and Allen -- who are good friends and share the same publicist -- are not talking about this.
"This is an AT&T matter -- no comment," publicist Roger Widynowski said.
The controversy is an embarrassment for AT&T, although there is no evidence it was part of an anti-Lambert corporate conspiracy. Blog: Did 'Textgate' make a difference?
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette -- a Little Rock, Arkansas newspaper -- reported that local AT&T representatives helped Allen fans each cast 10 or more text-message votes at one time through "power texts."
"American Idol" rules say votes made through "technical enhancements" could be thrown out, if detected.
The votes in question were made over demonstration phones brought by AT&T reps to two local Allen watch parties in Arkansas on the night of the final performances, the newspaper reported.
"Idol" watchers used text messages and phone calls to cast 100 million votes for either Allen or Lambert last week, an AT&T spokesman said.
The spokesman said AT&T would issue a statement on the incident Wednesday.
Fox Broadcasting has not responded to requests from CNN for comment.

A couple more pictures for your enjoyment
While we were at Disneyland, I decided to spend my money on pictures from some of the rides. I figured that these would be more valuable to our family than other souvenirs. The first pic is from Splash Mountain. This was our third time on the ride while we were there and the second time I had been luckily (yeah right) placed in the front seat. See how wet the jacket that Shawn is cowering behind is? Yeah, imagine not having any protection and being in the front. When we got off the ride and I checked our picture I was in complete shock and was laughing hysterically. I had no idea that Shawn had used the jacket to keep dry. The second picture is from Space Mountain. Those of you who know Shawn, know that sticking out his tongue is his trademark for theme park pictures. Space Mountain is in complete darkness, so neither of us had any idea how the picture would turn out. I tried Shawn's trademark and he decided to twist it up a bit. Enjoy!!

It's Official!!!
Today was a big day for the Kemple and Deschamps families! Shawn and I are officially college graduates! It was long and tiresome day, but it was great to have our families here for the ceremonies. For those of you who don't know, President Monson spoke; he had some great words of wisdom. I sang the National Anthem and was quite nervous. Can you blame me considering the amount of people and the presence of the Prophet? I went out there and did my best. It was a great day!! Here are some pics.

Much needed update
Not that a load of people read my blog but I apologize to those who do for not updating in a while. Well, I have been working full time for about a month now. I really enjoy my new position as a supervisor. Last week Shawn and I went to Disneyland with my sis-in-law, her hubby and my nephew and his wife. We had a blast! We were at the park for 16 hours each day (2) that we were there. We were so sore!!! Thanks to Mark, Linda, Darin and Stef. On the way home we got to visit my Grandma Thea, whom I haven't seen in nearly 10 years. It was great to see her and I am hoping to make another visit this summer. Shawn and I graduate from college this week and we are both kind of weirded out by the whole situation. We both have been going to school so long, it is going to be strange doing something else. On a final note, the kittens are ready to be adopted. If you know of anyone who wants one, please let me know ASAP!! Here are a ton of pics! Enjoy!

Award of Merit
Today I received a letter informing me that I am being given an Award of Merit for the Music Education program. I feel very honored to be receiving this award. I have had so many opportunities at UVU and all of them I attribute to my wonderful teacher, Dyanne Riley. I am posting a copy of the letter for those of you who want to see it. As you can tell, I'm pretty excited about it!

Blessed
I haven't posted anything in a while because life has been kind of dull and busy. A few exciting things have happened within the last week:
I finished student teaching on the 24th of March. However, I have been substitute teaching for the last week. I finish on Monday.
I just received a promotion at work! An increase in pay is always good!
I found out I am being given an award from the college. I'll give you more details later.
The kittens are growing cuter by the day. If you know of anyone that wants an adorable kitten, let me know.
Lastly, Shawn and I are going to Disneyland two weeks from today!!! Who wouldn't be excited to go the Happiest Place on Earth!
I feel extremely blessed right now and I am truly appreciative of what I have been given.

New Arrivals
As some of you might know, we have kind of adopted a local cat (I named her Liption) whom I believe was abandoned by her owner. When winter hit I bought a cat tent because I didn't want her (or the other stray cats) to freeze to death. About 2 weeks ago I discovered that Liption was pregnant.
Well, yesterday Shawn called me at school to tell me that the kittens had arrived! I was a complete wreck--the fact that I wasn't home to make sure all the kittens were ok had me stressed out. However, after some research and being able to check in on all of them I felt much better. Liption delivered 3 adorable kittens; one white, one grey, and one grey with black stripes. Here is a pic of the kittens (in the cat tent) while Mama cat stepped out to take a break.
