Wake up. Type paper. Throw clothes on. Head to school early to talk to teacher about paper. Teacher nowhere to be found. Two hours of class. One hour break (eat breakfast finally!) Six hours of class with the same teacher with one 10 min break. 10 min break--candy machine being serviced. CRAP!!! Headache during last 2 hours of class. Go home alone:( Eat dinner. Take Cat Nap. Pick up husband. Watch a little T.V. Should be doing homework. Going to do some homework. SLEEP. AAAAHHH.
For those of you who know me well, you know I love movies! Yesterday, Don Fontaine passed away. Even for those of you who don't watch a lot of movies you would still recognize his strong, low voice. He will be truly missed!
BIO Don LaFontaine, the voiceover king whose "In a world ..." phrase on movie trailers was much copied -- and much parodied -- has died, according to media reports. He was 68.
Don LaFontaine was featured as "that voiceover guy" on a recent Geico commercial.
LaFontaine died Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, according to ETOnline, "Entertainment Tonight's" Web site. He died from complications from pneumothorax, a collapsed lung that causes air to build in the pleural cavity, his agent, Vanessa Gilbert, told "ET."
LaFontaine, who was born in Duluth, Minnesota, began as a voice actor in the mid-1960s while working as a recording engineer, according to his Web site. His strong, slightly gravelly voice was featured on trailers for thousands of films, including "The Godfather," "Fatal Attraction" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." For a time in the late '70s, LaFontaine was the official voice of Paramount Pictures.
Last night we were invited to a special preview screening of the movie Traitor. The movie is about a man who is raised Muslim (a Sudanese father and an American mother,) the choices he makes concerning his loyalty to his faith but also his loyalty to his country. This movie may be a little too close to home for some, but I believe that it is a subject that needed to be addressed. I know quite a few people out there who are prejudice against Muslim Americans because of their beliefs and the ties their religion have to terrorism. I understand the fear behind the prejudice but I think it is time for America to move on. I am not saying that we should forget what has happened but learn from it. "A life lived in fear is a life half-lived."
Today was the first day back to school and man do I have my work cut out for me. On Wednesday's I have class from 8 AM-5 PM with a one hour break from 10-11. It's insane! I am taking 21 credits this semester so I can student teach next semester. I know this sounds crazy, trust me, I know, but I think it would be a waste if I had to take one or two classes next semester and wait until next fall to student teach. Why not suffer now for the rewards later? I am going to ask you all to pray for me that I stay on task and pass all of my classes (B- or higher). I counted it and I am taking a total of 10 classes. This is nothing new, in past semesters I have had only 19 credits and had 13 classes. Ah, college life. Anyway, wish me luck and when you think things are going rough for you, just remember that Sarah will be swimming in piles of homework and trying to keep her sanity!
So. . . . I haven't been sleeping well lately. It's my own darn fault though! I have been staying up watching the Olympics. Here are some of the amazing things I have seen:
1) Last night--Usain Bolt. I admire his speed and the fact that he is the youngest and least experienced competitor. However, I was kind of upset and offended that the last few strides he put his arms out and pounded his chest. I know he was excited but it seems to me that he should have concentrated on getting his best time instead of celebrating before he was finished. Oh well, what can you do?
2) Last night part 2--Shawn Johnson goes first on the floor exercise. She scores high enough to be in first place until. . . .the last performer beat her by .10! I was so sad. I really wanted Shawn to win Gold since she received a Silver in the all-around competition. The men's floor routine--there was a lot of falling. I feel horrible every time someone falls--it doesn't matter what country they are from.
3) Tonight- The Men's 400m hurdles. USA took GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE!! I was very proud of that moment!
4) Lastly, Tonight--Nastia Liukin losing the gold medal for uneven bars. They both received the same score, so, they use some computer program to figure out who comes out on top. Process of elimination using mathematics. WHAT??!!

P.S. Why do the Chinese athletes have to be so dang good? ARGH! Don't get me wrong, I admire them but GEEZ!
P.S.S. What the heck has been up with the scores for the US gymnasts versus the Chinese gymnasts? How do the ones who make fewer errors get lower scores than the ones with more errors? It blows my mind!!
My poor husband. . . . I have turned into an Olympic zombie! I even went out and bought a cheap HD antenna so I could watch it in HD instead of hiding away in our bedroom watching it on a 13" screen. I love synchronized diving (I hadn't even heard of it before the olympics), swimming and of course, gymnastics. The Men's gymnastic team has been mind-blowing! And I can't believe how many events and medals Michael Phelps has won! These events are really bringing out the patriot in me. I highly recommend watching a few events. What have you watched?

I finished Breaking Dawn at 1 AM this morning. I really enjoyed it and I hope the rest of you will too! On Friday night Shawn and I headed over to Barnes & Noble to checkout their huge party. They had face painting, fortune telling, people who were getting bite marks on their necks (makeup kits), fashion shows and more. It was insane! My friend Tammy met up with me while Shawn went to go find something manly to do. Tammy and I got face and arm paint. Afterwards we decided to walk down and see how the line at FYE was. When we got there at 10:30 there were only 3 people in line. I decided to reserve a copy and get in line with Tammy. We were out of the store by 12:02 and I went home and read till 2:30. The craziest part about the whole thing ----People were camping out overnight at Barnes & Noble just to get their wristbands (which marked your place in line.) The wristband that I had (but didn't use) was for line K. When we left from FYE, we walked back down to our car by B & N and there were hundreds of people still waiting. I felt bad, so I made sure not to flaunt that I had my book already. I wonder how long it took for the line to completely disappear? Two or three AM maybe? Here are some pics.
